Who we are
Northern Circuit Public Safety Training Group (NCPSTG) was established to strengthen the quality, coordination, and accessibility of law enforcement and public safety training across the Northern Judicial Circuit. Formed on February 6, 2026, the Group brings together experienced, POST-certified instructors from local agencies who are committed to raising the standard of training in our region.
At its core, NCPSTG exists to provide advanced, practical, and relevant training that directly supports the day-to-day realities of public safety professionals. The Group focuses on developing not just technical skills, but also sound judgment, ethical leadership, and professional competence—ensuring officers are prepared to perform at the highest level in any situation.
Through a strong partnership with the University of North Georgia Public Safety Academy, NCPSTG delivers both in-service and specialized training opportunities locally, reducing the need for agencies to send personnel outside the area while still maintaining a high standard of instruction.
The organization is guided by a Board of Instructors made up of active public safety professionals who bring real-world experience into every course offered. This structure ensures that training remains current, practical, and aligned with the evolving needs of agencies across the circuit.
NCPSTG is built on three foundational goals:
Strengthening coordination between local public safety agencies through accessible training
Promoting shared resources, support, and collaboration across the circuit
Expanding access to specialized, high-quality instruction through strategic partnerships
By focusing on collaboration, professionalism, and accountability, Northern Circuit Public Safety Training Group is committed to building stronger agencies, better-trained officers, and safer communities.
